Hello, I’m Daphne.
If you’re here because of your caring and concern for someone you love, I know you may be facing decisions you never expected to make. You may be overwhelmed by choices. You may not know what kind of care is needed, where to begin, or even what questions you should be asking.
That’s why the first thing I do is listen.
I want to hear your story. I want to know who your loved one is—not simply what their care needs are. What matters to them? What brings them joy? What does a good day look like? What are the things they simply aren’t willing to give up? Because finding the right kind of care or the right place to live isn’t simply about finding what’s available. It’s about finding a place where your loved one can continue to have purpose, dignity and a life that feels like their own.
I was introduced to senior housing and care in 2001, and since 2015, my team at Pinnacle Senior Placements and I have walked alongside families through this process every day. And I have one very important goal: Once you meet me, I want your loved one to never have to go through the stress of moving again.
That means taking the time to get it right. It means understanding your family’s highest values, exploring the right housing and care options, and staying personally involved—from our first conversation all the way through move-in.
At Pinnacle, we have a simple purpose:

Those aren’t just words on a wall to me. They’re how I believe families deserve to be treated—especially during a time when they may feel vulnerable, uncertain or afraid of making the wrong decision. I’ve been fortunate to become a respected voice in this field and to serve as President of the Washington State Chapter of the National Placement & Referral Alliance (NPRA), whose members commit to a strong code of ethics.
But titles and years of experience aren’t what I want you to remember about me.
I want you to know that I will advocate for you and your family.
I will ask the questions that help us discover what really matters. And I will help you understand your options so your family can make a decision with greater confidence and peace of mind.
And when I’m not doing this work, I’m Mom to two grown sons. I’m happiest exploring the Salish Sea from Seattle to Southeast Alaska, playing the pipe organ at church, or sitting down to a good game of pinochle or cribbage.
I’m looking forward to spending time with you on Answers for Elders, sharing what I’ve learned and, hopefully, making this journey a little less confusing.
Because when it comes to someone you love, finding the right care isn’t about placing a senior. It’s about honoring a life.
