  5. Declutter containers: We are huge fans of The Container Store! There, you can find a container for just about every single thing you will need to store, including items to support crafting and hobbies too.
  6. Orthotic Shoes: The Good Feet Store has three locations in Greater Puget Sound: Lynnwood, Southcenter, and Tacoma. Make sure you are properly fit with the right pair of shoes and make the investment to assure they are a proper fit.
  7. Transportation Services: Former Seattle Seahawks Free Safety, Jordan Babineaux has an amazing company called Assure Ride! They can provide accessible transportation, door to door, for seniors at a reasonable cost. For low-income seniors in Seattle/King County, check out the Hyde Shuttle, operated by Sound Generations.
  8. CAPS Certified Contractors: To have grab bars or any sort of flooring to be installed, make sure you go with a reputable contractor, designer or occupational therapist who is CAPS Certified. (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) These are individuals who have specialized training on seniors living independently at home and understand the requirements to make any sort of modifications necessary. You can find one through the National Association of Home Builders website HERE.
  9. Raised Toilets, Toilet Seats, Hand Held Shower Heads, etc: Our vote goes to Lowes! Not only can you order these online, but you can pick them up in their stores for no cost of shipping.
