Dear Friends,

April is the emergence of Spring! Yet, here in the Pacific Northwest, this month we have seen our share of rain, and even a dusting of snow! How crazy the weather is, and it’s hard sometimes to remember that the grass is growing! The flowers and trees have green appearing, and the forsythia is in bloom!

Also, a true highlight is that many of us drive to see the beautiful tulips in Skagit Valley, and we begin looking forward to Summer in the most beautiful place on earth. Seeing the tulips is a wonderful thing to bring your senior loved ones to experience. Find an area where they can walk outside into the fresh air and have a lovely lunch in Anacortes or LaConner.

April 1st was our one-year anniversary of being on the air here in Greater Puget Sound! We are overjoyed to have the opportunity to work with Salem Media and getting to know their very loyal listener base. Needless to say, I am truly grateful, and looking forward to getting to know you all more, through the radio program, through quarterly events, and also, through our free Senior Advocate Network as we begin year-two with our program!

In our radio broadcast this month, much of the content will be centered around Aging in Place. We will be featuring experts who can help guide you and your families to the right resources to help your loved one to live in a home that supports them. If you have a senior loved one still living at home, April is also the perfect time to take inventory of their living environment; to assess their home for safety, to minimize the risk of falls or accidents. We hope to bring you great tips!

We hope you enjoy our special content this month and many precious moments with your loved ones!

Warmest Regards,

Suzanne
