A lot of families are thinking about how to being the transition from living at home to a senior living situation. Take this one step at a time. Have these conversations sooner than later, before there’s an emergency, is commendable, as it can take six months to a couple of years of conversations. Lots of matters should be addressed early, such as having legal documents in order: power of attorney for medical and legal matters, who’s the executor of their will, and so forth. It’s important to have input from decision makers while they still can make those decisions.
