If you have been a subscriber of Sage Advice for at least a year, or a listener to KGNW or KLFE, then you have likely heard about the program that goes on for 12 Days in December with the Seahawks Legends!
Numerous studies show that senior loneliness is in epidemic proportions. Much of it has to do with how the world and our culture has evolved. The seniors in the family may live in the small town that their adult children grew up in, but the boomer children moved to the big city for their careers. Their kids left for college in different states, and families just aren’t clustered as they were decades before.
As a society, we are all overwhelmed with our careers, our immediate family demands and everyday demands that we often times forget to just STOP — and be mindful of the seniors in our world. In other words, often, our seniors get nothing more than scraps in our lives.
12 Days of Goodness is out to change that. It is our hope that through our program that we can help everyone become more mindful of the senior loved ones in their lives. Take the time to make them a higher priority in your world. If you don’t have a senior in your life, I am willing to bet you probably have one living close to you. Make a friend. Include them in your life!!

- December 21: 9AM-10:30 PM NORTHSHORE SENIOR CENTER- Bothell, WA (A pancake breakfast where the whole community of Bothell gets involved!)
- December 22: No event- due to it being Game Day at Century Link Field.
- December 23: 11:30-1: 30 PM DES MOINES SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER- Des Moines/Normandy Park, WA- Finale event
